Glimpses of Crossfit Fun!

DON'T FORGET TO POST YOUR TIMES!

Hey Everyone! Be sure that you log in Every Day and post your times to the WOD Blog for that day!

We'll be assigning each WOD a number and including it in the blog titles so that you can easily locate a specific WOD when we do it again - this will allow you to compare your current time to previous times for that WOD.

Example - let's say that we assigned today's WOD # 1001. The Blog Title would read
"Thursday, 5/7 WOD# 1001".

When we do the same workout again in a month or so, we will post a note to compare your time to WOD 1001. Then, all you'll need to do is use the "Blog Search" function in the upper left hand corner or the Blog Archive to the right to locate the blogs from when we've previously done that WOD, and you can check all of your previous times for WOD # 1001! . . .but if you don't post your time to the comments, it won't be there for you to reference ;)

Fri 5/22/09 WOD# 1005

Awesome WOD today!

Great job by the entire "Portland Crew" in the 5am class - you guys ROCKED it!

Jay Lynn (sp?) - you ARE a runner girl!

And a little birdie told me that there's a new 500m Row Record - sorry Pam! Guess you'll have to challenge it . . but may not be the smartest thing to go all out in the first round of Today's WOD. . . just ask Christie . . . She nearly had to throw in the towel after round 2!!

  1. LOL - I look like DEATH in that picture! (felt like it too!!!)

Okay, so I had the **brialliant** idea to try to set a new record for the 500m row at the start of today's WOD. . .

NOT SMART considering it was a 5 round WOD! I had to take a several minute break after the second round because I thought head was going to pop off of my shoulders! And that really hurt my total WOD time . . .

But I'm proud to say that I got back on that horse (okay, the rower) and finished out the WOD :)

Next time, I'll need to do a much better job of pacing myself though!

Great job to ALL of the girls in the 5am class today. I'll have to come early more often - you guys are great to work out with!

  5. That was a tuff one for me but I finished...That was my main thing. It is hard for me to row because of my size but I am working with what I can do....until I lose more weight. The walking is getting better but I am walking alot more laps then what I first started (1 lap and dieing). I am proud of my self today. Thank you Rose Mary for your words of motivation the help me thru this one. Remember Rose Mary...." Si Se Puede"

  6. This workout made my butt really tired. I just couldn't go any faster. My heart, lungs and mind wanted to gooooooooo, but my legs were going as fast as they could...and it wasn't as fast as I had wanted. Thanks Nina, you pushed me. And YOU remember, "si se puede" also. We all need to remember that. Irma, Jill, Irma's daughter(can't remember her name)Nina, Yolanda and visitor Steve all worked hard. No slacking. Cant wait to do this one again to see an improvement in everyone's time. Congrats Christie with your row. I bet Those Noon people are gonna kick butt with this one. Also, Let's see what Matt can do!

  8. Today has been very interesting! From almost needing an AED to a guy running so fast that he had to do 2 laps before a rower was opened! Everyone has showed great effort, Ed you did awesome and Arlene shows great potential on that C2, Tyler has improved dramatically on the WODs and Daniel is definitely pushing the pace! Cant wait to see what happens at 5:30 and 6:30! Congrats to all that has showed up and challenged todays WOD!
